Oil prices low maybe cheaper distribution costs = more profit.  My thoughts are Walmart, target, walgreens and more could make more money.

Car industry can improve because big SUVS are cheap to operate now.

A humanitarian Effort

I was talking to my mother tonight on the phone and she told me that she thought something big would happen.
I didn't really understand and asked her to elaborate.
(A little back story:
We've been buying some stocks and learning a little bit about the market. Since the stock market has been fluctuating so agressively since the Lehman Brothers scandal/crash happened, we've taken an active interest. The real estate market is bad comparatively adn tehre are a lot of foreclosures around the country. The value of the dollar is low. We dramatically disagree on politics.
I said Pres Bush is now a lameduck because of Barack winning.)
She said that something really big would happen between now and the end of the month, around thanksgiving. She said the global markets around the rworld would assist our market in a great humanitarian effort to remedy the bad economy. She said that there would be a joint merger of some sort to help the people. She said not just corporations would be helped, that also the people would be helped by this effort and that George Bush would be the one responsible in an effort to get credit and steal it from the Democrats before they get in office.
I don't know if she's right, but either way, consider it documented.
She's promised a morale booster by the month's end.

Where the candidates stand / The candidates viewpoints / The candidates opinions

I've cleaned up and consolidated some of the viewpoints that I borrowed from a combination of great sites.
Primarily - Newsday.com A great source for news on everything
http://www.newsday.com/news/politics/chi-071218candidates-htmlpage-css,0,3171367.htmlpage

And Ontheissues.com
Also a great source for political data and imformation.

Anyway, this is just something that I thought most people would prefer to print out and assist them in voting for a candidate which is comign up on us. Florida primaries are on the 28th.
We're going to pick which candidates issues we agree with and then vote for whoever gets the most votes. In the event of a tie, we'll pick who could be a better leader in the event of WW3.

Choices

Regardless of what the nature of study is, quality is generally preferred over quantity. There are always choices and decisions. Choices will be made, decisions can be postponed. Nature vs. Nurture or otherwise, It's a world of nothing but Coke and Pepsi's. We must choose how we decide even. Choices lurk around every bend and everything lingers on a choice that is made. The mugger that threatens offers a choice, Money or Life. The homeless guy has the choice, his home or his booze. No one said the choices were always fair. The choice between expensive medicine and food for senior citizens without healthcare and the choice between high property taxes or poor schools for many local jurisdictions. The primaries are coming up and I would encourage all of you to vote for who you, with all of your facts and education, feel is the best candidate for the parties of your choice. Your CHOICE.

Cardopoly...

It seems like everywhere you go there is a company trying to get you to put their plastic keytag on your keychain or their cheap barcoded card in your wallet. Just about all the clothes stores, supermarkets, shoe stores, pharmacies, convenience stores, even my hair salon has it. I looked at my keychain the other day and was positively overwhelmed at the amount of shuffling I'd have to do to get my appropriate tag in the event that one of these merchants actually called me out on it. I propose that we let the merchant do the shuffling and that we disregard the way they look at us when we present them with the opportunity to handle our wares. I think if they want our business they ought to share the burden of our carrying for all these tags.
The wallet cards are another story. Why associate all of our information in an online account and assign it to a card for us to just lose the card and then ask our phone number to give us the discount. I'd like it if our license would work the same way. Just give your address and your license info will pull up. Why not have a thunb print database that links our names, addresses, phone numbers, credit card info, and the works. That would be great.
I read maybe 6 months ago in popular science magazine that they would be putting cell phone information out there for people to try in select cities. All of our information would be stored on our cell phone and it could be swiped at various convenience locations thus eliminating the need for a plastic card.
Ideally, if dogs can be chipped now to scan and identify them in the event of loss, then the concept of scanning a thumb to identify credit is just as feasible. I'd get into the spare thumb market now, while the concept is still relatively unexplored. Cut em off and freeze them on a metal stub. Remove yours accordingly, and save it so that you can attach the thumb of your chosing for appropriate identity theft!
I'm just kidding, but this is the wave of the future. There was a time when nobody thought you could like about your identity online and now everyone does it. Caveat Emptor. Let the buyer beware.
